🍏 Apple Class 苹果班
Designed for pre-school children who are between 3 to 6 years old with the aim of helping them grow used to the sound and rhythm of Mandarin by singing and chanting songs and rhymes in Mandarin along with their teachers. At this age, this method of language learning is one of the most effective for these early aspects of language acquisition – it is how we all imprint the sound and rhythm of our own language.
🍉 Watermelon Class 西瓜班
Designed for children from school years 1 to 3. Apart from learning more speaking and listening skills in Mandarin through interactive play, writing will also be introduced at this level. Like the Mango class above, “Pinyin” and also “Stroke” will be taught systematically from this level. At this developmental stage, the children will be interacting in meaningful engagements, and they will have a clearer awareness of their learning environment – and that they are actually enjoying a new language experience.
🎃 Pumpkin Class 南瓜班
For students from school years 3 to 6. We not only teach Mandarin as a language at this stage of development, we also design classes using the language for “problem solving”, which helps our students become more engaged and motivated. Mathematics, science, history and so on are all included in these Mandarin language lessons, and we employ the most up-to-date learning methodologies and strategies to achieve the most effective outcomes for our students. They will come back every lesson wanting more.
At each level, our centre offers two parallel learning systems from which you can choose the most suitable: Mandarin native speaking students and non-Mandarin speaking students are taught in separate streams so that the teachers are effectively able to prepare and deliver lessons graded to the ability of the specific students in that class. This means that the students from Mandarin speaking backgrounds are receiving the challenge and support that they need to improve their ability, and the non-Mandarin speaking students are able to learn at their own speed and feel academically safe enough in their classroom to contribute to the lesson and their progress. The Mandarin native-speaking teachers are there to create an effective and engaging learning environment to accommodate students from different nationalities and backgrounds, and to develop academic and social confidence . We include all.
📒 Kinder Chinese 幼儿汉语
At this level, little learners will focus on speaking and listening skills, helping them to master the tones of the language by using games and music. Little learners will learn colours, shapes and numbers and so on, with techniques employing native Mandarin speaker methodologies. Gradually, little learners are introduced to “Pinyin” – the Mandarin Roman alphabet writing system, which prepares children for the next stage in their new language. This age group can gain confidence in these aspects more easily than many others.
📕 Elementary 初级汉语
At this level, the learner will focus on basic knowledge of Chinese Pinyin and vocabulary. The learner will be able to produce language to communicate personal information, daily routines, and recount past activities. The learner’s focus will also be on the accurate tones and functional language in common situations.
📗 Pre-Intermediate 初中级汉语
At this level, the learner has some basic knowledge of Chinese grammar, vocabulary and very solid Pinyin knowledge. Study at this level focuses on extensive practice in common speech patterns and standard forms in simple spoken and written texts. Speaking practice develops confidence in producing relatively short, accurate utterances. Listening and reading skills focus on developing an ability to understand lower level material and to acquire a basic understanding of the main idea in more demanding communication. Writing skills develop basic grammar, vocabulary and simple sentence structures. Elementary study skills are introduced at this level.
📘 Intermediate 中级汉语
At this level, the learner has knowledge of basic Chinese grammar and vocabulary. Study at this level involves extensive practice in a range of speech patterns and forms in texts of low to medium-level difficulty. Speaking practice develops confidence in producing longer, fluent utterances. Listening and reading skills focus on developing an ability to understand material of low to medium-level difficulty and to acquire a basic understanding of both the main idea and some details in more demanding communication. Writing skills develop a wider range of grammar and vocabulary items, as well as some compound sentence structures. Core study skills are developed at this level.
📙 Upper Intermediate 中高级汉语
At this level, the learner has developed a confident general knowledge of common Chinese grammar forms and vocabulary. Study at this level involves extensive practice in a wide range of speech patterns and forms in texts of medium to high-level difficulty, and some study of more formal texts. Speaking practice develops confidence in producing longer, fluent utterances which use a range of grammar-forms and vocabulary items. Listening and reading skills focus on developing an ability to understand material of medium to high-level difficulty and to acquire a good understanding of both the main idea and many details in more demanding communication. Writing skills develop an extended range of grammar and vocabulary items, particularly language of a more formal nature, as well as compound sentences and some complex sentence structures. Further study skills are developed at this level.
📓 Advanced 高级汉语
At this level, the learner has a good knowledge of Chinese grammar and vocabulary, although more difficult items may still require attention. Study at this level involves extensive practice in a wide range of speech patterns and forms in texts of high-level to advanced-level difficulty, and some study of more formal texts, including some related to specialised disciplines. Speaking practice develops confidence in producing longer, fluent utterances which use a range of grammar-forms and vocabulary items. Listening and reading skills focus on developing an ability to understand material of high-level difficulty and to acquire a good understanding of both the main idea and a range of details in more demanding communication. Writing skills develop an extended range of grammar and vocabulary items, particularly in language of a more formal and academic nature, as well as complex sentence structures. Study skills are consolidated at this level with intensive practice.
📔 Business Chinese 商务汉语
This course concentrates the use of Chinese for ordinary business activities and propriety in business exchanges. It provides common knowledge about various ways of trade and about how to make contracts with the parties concerned. It equips the ability to make oral reports about your market investigation, development and study through collecting relevant topics and data.
